  1. The graph shows power plant capacities of Coal for select countries (as of July 2021). This includes plants that are currently operational and plants in-pipeline.
  2. In-Pipeline plants: Includes power plants that are under construction, plants that proposed to be constructed, and those plants which are currently shelved (no activity for 2 years after project proposal).
  3. Includes power plants that are announced, plants that are at the pre-permit stage, and plants that are permitted.
